Y-outh Groups

Symbolism: Legs – That part of us that takes us out into the world; GREEN – Color of Ordinary Time and seasons of growth; Focus: Provide opportunities for youth to build significant relationships with other youth through shared experience and service to others.

Currently Offerings for 3 age groups: FISH, STARs, LOGOS

YOUTH: EYC: (Episcopal Youth Community) at St. John’s meets regularly in two separate groups. For specific programs/events the groups combine.

  FISH – 9th-12th Grade
  F-aith I-nspires S-piritual H-ealth

Group Meets EVERY Sunday-5:00-7:00 Youth Room/Dinner Included

  STARs – 6th – 8th grades
  S-piritual T-eens A-re R-adical
  Meeting Time: 1st & 3rd Sundays - 12:00-2:00 pm

  Youth Room / Lunch provided

 

UPCOMING WEEKEND EVENTS:

Canoe Trip, June 27-29- Illinois River @ Talequah

Participate in 2 ways:

  • Full Weekend --Day canoe trip, lodging*, 5 meals
  • Overnight--Day canoe trip, lodging*, 3 meals
  • Day Trip Only --Canoe trip, lunch

*Tent camping or cabins available and affect rate.

APPROX. COSTS:  $50.00/person for full weekend; $30/day only

Camp Mitchell Work Weekend

Camp preparation for the summer sessions will begin on Saturday morning.  Volunteer workers are invited to arrive on Friday evening.  No meal will be provided on Friday evening.  Three meals on Saturday, Sunday breakfast, and Sunday Eucharist will be provided.  Saturday evening entertainment for adults and youth will be offered in separate site in the camp.

Families are invited with supervision of children provided by their parents.

Volunteers can help for any part of the weekend.  Registration is required for all.  Contact Jeannie McCabe (221-4032 or jmccabe@stjohnfs.org) if interested or see forms on website and hallway bulletin board.  Cost:  Your time
